Winston nets 20, James Madison tops Longwood 82-60

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) Winston Gray scored 20 points and Jackson Kent added 18, both career highs, to help James Madison beat Longwood 82-60 on Wednesday night.

Kent made 7 of 11 field goals, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, for James Madison (2-1). Yohanny Dalembert added 14 points and Tom Vodanovich scored 11.

A dunk by Lotanna Nwogbo pulled Longwood (1-1) within nine with 11:35 to play, but James Madison scored nine of the next 10 points to open up a 64-47 lead about 3 minutes later. The Lancers would get no closer than 15 the rest of the way.

Despite shooting 63.6 percent from the field in the first half, James Madison led just 38-32. It limited Longwood to 37 percent shooting (10-of-27) in the second half, including 2 of 15 from 3-point range, outscoring the Lancers 44-28 after halftime.
