Quinn McDowell scored 26 points as William & Mary handed Towson its 36th consecutive loss 66-49 Wednesday night in Colonial Athletic Association action.

Towson lost its final 19 games last year and now its first 17 this season for the longest losing skid in Division I history. New Jersey Institute of Technology had a 51-game losing streak spanning NJIT's transition from Division II to Division I.

The Tigers (0-17, 0-5) trailed 28-24 at halftime. But in the second half, McDowell scored 17 of his 26 points as the Tribe (4-14, 2-3) outscored Towson 38-25. Julian Boatner came off the Tribe bench to score 12 points on four 3-pointers.

Marcus Damas led Towson with 14 points. Robert Nwankwo added 11 and Deon Jones 10.

The Tribe hit 24 of 48 field goals, including 7 of 21 3-pointers. Towson was just 20 of 52,including 4 for 15 on treys.
