Northwestern's leading scorer John Shurna has decided to return to school rather than stay in the NBA draft.

Shurna had earlier declared for the draft without hiring an agent, giving him the option of going back to the Wildcats.

The 6-foot-8 Shurna averaged 16.6 points and nearly five rebounds a game last season, despite being slowed by an ankle injury. The Wildcats compiled their second straight 20-victory season and won two games in the NIT.
