Garrett Stutz made 9 of 11 shots and scored 23 points as Wichita State ran its winning streak to eight with an 86-74 victory over Evansville on Wednesday night.

Toure Murry added 14 points for the Shockers (18-3, 9-1), who remained tied with Creighton for the Missouri Valley lead. Carl Hall and David Kyles scored 12 points each.

Demetric Williams had 10 assists, and Stutz grabbed eight rebounds.

Coach Gregg Marshall won his 100th game at Wichita State. He is 100-56.

Kenny Harris' 18 points led the Aces (10-10, 5-5), whose three-game winning streak ended. Colt Ryan scored 17 and Ryan Sawvell 13.

The Shockers trailed 6-0 but gathered themselves quickly. They were up 51-34 at the break and extended the lead to 25 points at 68-43 on Tekele Cotton's jumper with 11 minutes left.

The victory gave Wichita State a sweep after winning 67-66 on Jan. 4 at Evansville.
