Garrett Stutz had a game-high 19 points, including a key three-point play with 52.3 seconds left to lead Wichita State to a 73-63 win over Missouri State in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament Friday night.

Clevin Hannah contributed 15 points for Wichita State (24-8), the No. 2 seed, which advances to Saturday's semifinals. The Shockers are looking to advance to the finals of the conference tournament for the first time since 1987.

Jermaine Mallett led No. 7 seed Missouri State (20-12) with 18 points. Kyle Weems added 17.

The Shockers made 24 of 25 free throws, including 15-of-15 in the final 6:12.

Wichita State was clinging to a 62-61 lead when Hannah found Stutz underneath. He hit the bucket while being fouled by Mallett and converted the free throw to make it 65-61. Hannah then hit four free throws down the stretch to ice it.
