Toure Murry's 13 points led a balanced Wichita State effort as the Shockers defeated Nicholls State 68-50 Friday night.
J.T. Durley had 12 points, Graham Hatch 11 and Aaron Ellis 10 for Wichita State (6-2).
Nicholls State (4-3) was led by Anatoly Bose's 26 points, 19 of which came in the second half.
Bose hit three 3-pointers in the first two minutes of the second half, a personal 9-2 run for the Colonels that made the score 36-28 Wichita State.
A David Kyles slam highlighted an 8-2 run that pushed the Shockers' lead to 44-32. A Kyles 3-pointer started a 7-0 run that put Wichita State ahead 57-40 with 6:05 remaining.
Wichita State jumped to a 9-2 lead behind eight points from Durley. A 10-2 run going into halftime increased Wichita State's lead to 34-19.
