White leads Longwood past Campbell 80-79
FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) Tra'Vaughn White scored 20 of his career-high 29 points in the second half and Longwood held off Campbell 80-79 on Wednesday night to end a four-game losing streak.
Darrion Allen added 17 points, Lotanna Nwogbo 16 with 11 rebounds and Kanayo Obi-Rapu 11 points for the Lancers (7-17, 3-8 Big South).
Chris Clemons led Campbell (8-14, 2-10) with 22 points, Troy Harper added 17 and Rod Days 15 for the Camels, who dropped their ninth in a row.
The Lancers took the lead for good with five minutes to go after a bucket by White. A 3-pointer by Clemons had Campbell within a point with two minutes left but White scored seven points in an 11-5 run that left the Lancers up seven with 11 seconds remaining before Clemons and Harper hit 3-pointers to tighten the final margin.
