Western Illinois beats North Dakota State 58-53

Ceola Clark's four-point play with 39 seconds remaining put Western Illinois ahead to stay and the Leathernecks held on to beat North Dakota State 58-53 in the Summit League quarterfinals Sunday night.

Western Illinois (17-13) trailed 51-50 when Clark made a 3-pointer and was fouled. He made the free throw, and Clark and Obi Emegano each made two more free throws in the closing seconds. Western Illinois, the fourth seed in the Summit, advanced to play No. 1 seed Oral Roberts in Monday's semifinals. Oral Roberts defeated IPFW 71-67 on Saturday.

Emegano led the Leathernecks with 19 points while Clark had 13 points, all in the second half, and a game-high 11 rebounds. Terell Parks also had 13 points for Western Illinois.

TrayVonn Wright led fifth-seeded North Dakota State (17-13) with 14 points. Taylor Braun had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Bison.
