Weber State's Joel Bolomboy diagnosed with bone bruise in knee


Weber State updated the status of senior star Joel Bolomboy on Monday.
The school announced that Bolomboy has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left knee. There is currently no timetable for his return.
“Joel has a bone bruise in his left knee,” said Weber State head coach Randy Rahe said in a statement. “He is currently undergoing rehab and there is no timetable for his return.”
The 6-foot-9 forward, one of the top mid-major players in the country, is averaging 17.6 points and 13.0 rebounds (which ranks second in the nation), 1.0 assists and 1.3 blocks per game for the Wildcats.
Weber State, which has notched its third 20-win season for the third time in the last five seasons, is tied with Montana for first place in the Big Sky standings. The Wildcats face Montana State on Thursday before hosting Montana for a major conference showdown on Saturday.
