Scott Bamforth buried a contested shot from just inside the half-court line as time expired to give Weber State a 72-71 victory over Northern Colorado on Saturday night.

Devon Beitzel finished with a game-high 29 points for Northern Colorado (11-8, 7-1 Big Sky), including a pair of go-ahead free throws with 2.4 seconds remaining, but Bamforth's answered 3-point prayer snapped the Bears' seven-game winning streak.

Bamforth, a sophomore, has been playing with a shoulder injury that has limited his minutes. He played just nine minutes in the first half on Saturday en route to finishing with 12 points.

Jordan Richardson led the Wildcats (10-9, 4-4) with 17 points. Kyle Bullinger added 13 points and Trevor Morris 10.
