WATCH: Boston College goes crazy when walk-on is put on scholarship

Boston College had reason to celebrate on Wednesday night.
The Eagles had just won their third straight game, picking up a 64-55 win over Fordham at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Before the team headed home for the holiday break, head coach Jim Christian was already into the giving season, telling the team that a senior walk-on would be on scholarship for the rest of the season.
"This is a program we're building here," Christian said. "This is a program and people need to be rewarded for everything that they do. So, it's my pleasure to announce that for his last semester, Steve Perpiglia is going on scholarship."
The team proceeded to mob Perpiglia, going as far as lifting him up like the final scene of 'Rudy.'
The 5-foot-10 senior from Broomall, Pennsylvania, has appeared in 29 career games for the Eagles, scoring a total of nine points.
Boston College finishes up its non-conference slate against New Hampshire on Wednesday.
