Walker's 3 lifts Northeastern over Towson 57-54

TOWSON, Md. (AP) David Walker hit a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left as Northeastern defeated Towson 57-54 Wednesday night after squandering a 20-point lead.

Walker finished with eight points for the Huskies (6-14, 3-3 Colonial Athletic Association). Scott Eatherton had 19 points and Zach Stahl 10 and both grabbed nine rebounds.

Towson (12-7, 3-1) had scrambled back to tie the game at 54 when Four McGlynn made three free throws with 6 seconds to go for the only tie in the game.

Marcus Damas led the Tigers with 21 points, hitting 5 of 9 3's. His teammates were 1 of 6 behind the arc. Rafriel Guthrie had 13 points and Jerrell Benimon had 13 rebounds.

Towson was down 10 with 6:17 to go but Guthrie started a 9-1 run with a four free throws. Back-to-back layups by Benimon made it 49-47 with 3:15 remaining.
