Walker leads Northeastern past Lipscomb 79-67

OXFORD, Ohio (AP) David Walker scored a career-high 30 points and Quincy Ford added 18 with 19 rebounds to lead Northeastern to a 79-67 win over Lipscomb on Saturday.

Walker hit 11 of 16 shots, including 5 of 10 3-pointers, and Walker, who had a career-high for rebounds and four blocks, was 7 of 12 from the field for the Huskies (4-0). Zach Stahl added 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting as Northeastern shot 54 percent. They shot 62 percent in the second half as they pulled away from a 31-29 halftime lead.

Cam Miller's layup for Lipscomb tied the game at 49 with 12 minutes left, but Northeastern opened up a 9-point lead three minutes later behind Stahl's 3-point play and Ford's 5 points. Lipscomb could get no closer than five the rest of the way.

J.C. Hampton had 22 points for the Bison (2-4).
