Wagner handles Mount St. Mary's in 2nd half, wins 72-51
NEW YORK (AP) Corey Henson scored 22 points and Wagner pulled away from Mount St. Mary's in the second half and cruised to a 72-51 win on Saturday.
Michael Carey finished with 10 points and Dwaun Anderson had 8 for the Seahawks (15-8, 8-4 Northeast Conference), who shot 50.9 percent from the field while holding the Mountaineers to just 34.1 percent and their second-lowest point total of the season.
Wagner also won the rebounding battle 35-23.
Wagner led 37-33 at the half but quickly scored nine of the first 12 second half points and took a double digit lead. Mount St. Mary's (10-15, 7-5) never got back to within 10, and a 13-3 run midway through the half, capped six straight Carey points, made it 62-42 with 4:55 left.
Junior Robinson led the Mountaineers with 14 points. Gregory Graves had 7 and nine rebounds.
