Tyler Murray had 15 points and Josh Thompson came off the bench to score 14 points and grab nine rebounds as Wagner dropped Princeton 73-57 in the season opener for both teams Saturday.

Latif Rivers chipped in 12 points for Wagner, which beat the Tigers for the first time in four tries. Thompson added three steals and a block for the Seahawks, who had a 26-16 edge on Princeton in bench scoring.

Wagner led 34-29 at the break and, after Princeton pulled even at 41-41 in the second half, went on a 23-3 run to blow the game open.

Princeton actually outshot Wagner in the contest 46.5 percent (20 of 43) to 45.9 percent (28 of 61) and won the rebounding battle 37-35, but the Tigers committed 28 turnovers. Wagner turned the ball over just 15 times.

Ian Hummer led Princeton with 19 points and Douglas Davis added 12.
