W. Michigan 85, Marygrove College 40

Brandon Pokley scored 16 points Tuesday night and Western Michigan breezed to an 85-40 victory over Marygrove in the Broncos' home opener.
Four players were in double figures for Western Michigan (1-1). Nate Hutcheson scored 14 points, Darius Paul scored 11 and Shayne Whittington had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Twelve of the 14 Broncos who played in the game scored as WMU bounced back from a loss at Cornell on Saturday.
Pokley was 4 for 8 from 3-point range and the Broncos dominated the NAIA school on the inside as well with a 40-4 scoring edge in the paint. Marygrove led in the game's first minute, but not after that and the final margin of 45 was the biggest of the game.
Marygrove (0-3) was led by Darryl Foster, who scored 10 points.
