Matt Stainbrook scored 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Western Michigan past Alma 109-50 Saturday.
Juwan Howard Jr. added 15 points and Caleb Dean had 14 points for the Broncos (2-4), who outscored the Scots 67-28 in the second half. Western Michigan shot 69 percent (27 of 39) from the field over the final 20 minutes and made 56 percent of its shots (44 of 78) for the game. The Broncos also had a huge advantage on the boards, outrebounding the Scots 53-29.
Cory Schneider scored nine points to lead Alma (2-3), which shot just 31 percent (20 of 64) from the field.
