Steffphon Pettigrew scored a season-high 19 points to help Western Kentucky to a 62-48 victory over Tulane on Sunday.

The Hilltoppers (3-3) led the entire game, making their first four shots in the first 4 minutes and extending to their lead to as many as 17 points over the Green Wave (3-5) late in the second half.

Four players finished in double figure scoring for Western Kentucky. Jeremy Evans scored 14 points, A.J. Slaughter had 13 points and Sergio Kerusch added 10. Evans also led the team with nine rebounds and five blocks.

Kevin Sims was the lone Green Wave player in double figures with 24 points. The next highest total was David Booker with six.

The Hilltoppers shot 50 percent from the floor (26-for-52). Tulane finished the game hitting 36 percent of its shots (18-for-50).
