Cedrick Lang hit all nine shots he took, scoring 22 points Thursday night to pace UTEP to a 79-58 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the third-place game of the Sun Bowl Invitational.

Gabriel McCulley added 18 points for the Miners (7-7). John Bohannon had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Daniel Broughton scored a career-high 30 points for the Golden Lions (1-11), who dropped their ninth in a row. Broughton sank 11 of 17 shots, including 5 of 8 from 3-point range. Mitchell Anderson contributed 18 points.

UTEP shot 58 percent (32 of 55) and broke a streak of being outrebounded for seven straight games by amassing a 33-24 advantage on the boards.

The Miners trailed 23-21 before going on a 10-0 run, keyed by five points from Lang. They led 47-34 at intermission and were not threatened in the second half.
