Utah Valley tops CS Bakersfield to win outright WAC title

Utah Valley State clinched the WAC's outright regular-season title with a 64-55 victory over Cal State Bakersfield on Friday night.

Holton Hunsaker led the Wolverines (19-10, 13-3) with 16 points despite shooting 1 for 11 from the field. He hit 13 of 14 free throws as Utah Valley made 25 of 32, compared to 7 of 13 at the foul line by the Roadrunners (12-18, 5-11).

Issiah Grayson had 18 points to pace CS Bakersfield, which suffered its fourth straight loss.

The Wolverines won their third in a row and will be the top seed for next week's WAC tournament in their first season as a member.
