UNC Greensboro easily beats Mars Hill 92-48
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Tevon Saddler scored 19 points and all of UNC Greensboro's starters reached double figures in a 92-48 victory over Mars Hill on Wednesday as the Spartans snapped a three-game losing streak.
RJ White scored 18 points, Kayel Locke 17, Nicholas Paulos 13 and Diante Baldwin 11 for the Spartans (5-9), who shot 50.7 percent including 8 of 19 from the arc (42.1 percent). They had a 46-28 rebounding advantage and made nine steals as Mars Hill turned the ball over 20 times leading to 28 Spartans points.
A 32-12 run spanning both halves broke the game open for the Spartans, who added a 24-0 run over a 7:43 stretch.
The 92 points and 44-point victory margin are both season highs for UNCG.
The game, played at Fleming Gymnasium instead of the Spartans' usual venue, the Greensboro Colisuem, was an exhibition for Mars Hill, which got 11 points from Kevin Haynes.
