Jeremy Atkinson scored 19 points to lead six players in double figures and North Carolina-Asheville beat High Point 86-79 on Saturday night.

Matt Dickey and J.P. Primm had 16 apiece, Chris Stephenson 13 and Quinard Jackson and Jaron Lane 11 each.

Atkinson, who shot 77.7 percent (7 of 9) from the field, also grabbed eight boards.

High Point (7-10, 3-4 Big South Conference) led 11-9 early in the first half before North Carolina-Asheville used a 19-10 run to take a 28-21 lead with 7:12 left in the first half. The Panthers cut the lead to five, 32-27, but the Bulldogs used another run, this time 17-4, to take a 49-31 lead into halftime.

North Carolina-Asheville (12-6, 6-0) shot 63 percent (30 of 48) from the field as only two Bulldogs shot under 50 percent for the game.

Nick Barbour led High Point with 33 points while Shay Shine had 15.
