James Nunnally hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift UC Santa Barbara to a 76-75 victory over Long Beach State Saturday night. Nunnally?s game-winning shot came after Long Beach?s T.J. Robinson sank two free throws to put the 49ers ahead 75-73 with 6.8 seconds remaining. Nunnally, who led the Gauchos with 20 points, had tied the score at 73-73 on a driving basket with 6.9 seconds to go, but teammate Will Brew Jr. fouled Robinson on the inbound pass. The loss prevented Long Beach (15-14, 10-6) from tying for the conference title with Cal State Northridge, which lost at Pacific.
