UAPB slips past Alcorn State 54-49

LORMAN, Miss. (AP) Marcel Mosley scored 15 points and DeAndre McIntyre added 13 while hauling in seven rebounds to lead Arkansas-Pine Bluff to its first Southwestern Athletic Conference victory of the season with a 54-49 win over Alcorn State on Monday night.

McIntyre shot 5 of 8 from the floor, including a 3-pointer, and Devin Berry grabbed nine rebounds as UAPB (4-15, 1-4) used a big second half to snap its six-game skid

Down by two at the break, UAPB shot just 34 percent overall (18-53) but outscored Alcorn State (4-14, 3-3) 31-24 over the final 20 minutes to clinch the win.

Leantwan Luckett led Alcorn State with 25 points, while Marquis Vance added 10 points to go with his 11 rebounds.

The Braves were held to 30 percent shooting from the floor on 44 attempts, and were 1 of 15 from 3-point range.
