Jamarr Sanders scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead UAB to its fourth straight victory with a 79-44 rout of George Washington on Monday night.

The Blazers (10-2) trailed 4-0 in the game's opening minutes, but ended the first half on a 38-18 run and entered halftime with a 16-point lead, 38-22.

Joseph Katuka and Dwayne Smith scored eight points apiece to lead the Colonials (5-6), who were 18 of 54 from the field (33.3 percent), including 3 of 16 from 3-point range (18.8 percent).

The 44 points scored by the Colonials was their lowest offensive output since a 63-38 loss to Saint Louis on Feb. 13, 2008.

UAB shot 54.9 percent from the floor (28 of 51), including 14 for 29 from behind the arc (48.3 percent).

Dexter Fields scored 17, Ovie Soko 14 and Cameron Moore 10 for the Blazers, who have won four in a row and eight of their last nine games.
