Tulane coasts against Maryville, Mo. 91-45

Kris Richard scored 23 points and Jordan Callahan 20 as Tulane had little trouble in its first game against Maryville, Mo., winning 91-45 on Monday night.

Callahan scored 18 of his points in the first half and Richard got 14 of his in the second. The two guards finished one point short of their career highs, and Callahan also had seven assists.

Kendall Timmons added 18 points for the Green Wave (3-1), who outshot their Division II opponent from St. Louis 55.0 percent (33 of 60) to 27.9 percent (12 of 43) and outrebounded the Saints (2-1) 36-17.

Richard was 5 of 9 from 3-point range, Callahan 4 of 7.

After leading 39-26 at halftime, the Green Wave outscored the Saints 13-2 at the start of the second half to lead 52-28. A 15-0 run a few minutes later made it 72-34.

Asa Toney was the only Maryville scorer in double figures, with 11 points.
