Ricky Tarrant scored a season-high 28 points and Tulane dominated the second half to defeat Hofstra 83-62 Saturday.

Tied at 30 at the break, the Green Wave (10-3) opened the second half with a 20-0 run in the first four minutes to pull away, with Tarrant scoring the first 13 points in the spurt.

Tarrant finished with 21 points - hitting 5 of 8 3-pointers - in the second half. He also had a career-high eight rebounds and five steals in the opening game of the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational. Josh Davis added 18 points and Jordan Callahan 15 points and five steals for Tulane.

The Green Wave shot 57.1 percent after the break (20 of 35) while the Pride, which led by seven in the first half, shot 36.4 percent (12 of 33).

Taran Buie scored 15 points to lead Hofstra (3-9), which has lost seven in a row.
