Ray Chambers scored 18 points, including the game-winning free throw, as Troy held on to beat Georgia State 57-56 Saturday night.

Emil jones added 11 points and eight rebounds to help snap Troy's (5-7) five-game losing streak.

Trailing 30-16 at halftime, Georgia State (5-5) began the second half on a 28-12 run to take a 44-42 lead with 10:24 left to play.

Tied at 51 with 3:59 remaining, a free throw by James Vincent and two Devonta White baskets put Georgia State ahead 56-51 with 1:47 left to play.

White's basket would be the last points for the Panthers as Troy responded scoring the last six points of the game. Antoine Myers scored five straight points-two layups and a free throw- to tie the game at 56, and then Chambers hit the decisive free throw to give the Trojans the edge.

White led the Panthers with 13 points.
