Tollefsen, Pinkins both score 23 in Dons' 77-40 win

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) Mark Tollefsen and Kruize Pinkins both scored 23 points and San Francisco smothered Portland State 77-40 on Thursday night.

Tollefsen added 10 rebounds for his first double-double this season with Tim Derksen adding 10 points. The Dons (6-5) shot 48.3 percent, including 10 of 24 3-point attempts (41.7 percent). They had a 44-32 rebounding advantage, made nine steals and took advantage of 14 Vikings turnovers.

The Vikings (5-4) were a frigid 20 percent from the floor on 10-of-50 shooting. DaShaun Wiggins bucked the trend, making 4 of 6 3-pointers en route to 18 points. The Vikings were missing two double-figures scorers, Tiegbe Bamba and Bryce White, both injured.

The Dons led 46-22 at halftime after shooting 59.3 percent and making 6 of 12 3-point attempts. San Francisco opened the second half with a 10-0 run to go up by 34 points. The Dons' largest lead was 45 with 6:50 left.
