Texas Tech 91, Grambling St. 56

Jaye Crockett scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Texas Tech to a 91-56 win over Grambling State Tuesday night.

Crockett was a force in the paint on both sides of the ball the entire game. His 360-degree slam dunk with about 4 minutes left in the first half put the Red Raiders (3-0) ahead 34-15 and ignited the crowd.

Trency Jackson added 15 points, including a pair of 3-pointers to put the Red Raiders up 12-6 early in the game, and Jordan Tolbert had 14 points and eight rebounds.

David Copeland led the Tigers (0-5) with 15 points, and Tery Rose added 13, including five 3s. Peter Roberson scored 11 off the bench.

The Red Raiders played aggressive defense all game long, picking up 17 steals and turning them into 29 points.
