David Tairu scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half Sunday to help Texas Tech beat Liberty 79-71.
The Red Raiders (3-1) once again used a big push after halftime to open the game up after trailing 30-26 at the break. John Roberson and Tairu led the charge, scoring a combined 22 points in the opening eight minutes of the second half.
Roberson and Brad Reese each finished with 14 points, while Robert Lewandowski added 13.
As they did in Friday night's victory over Stephen F. Austin, the Red Raiders struggled in the first half from the outside. Liberty (2-3) took a 19-10 lead 8 minutes into the contest.
