Kevin Galloway scored 32 points and hit two late free throws that gave Texas Southern the lead for good in a 71-63 victory over Southern U. on Thursday night.

Galloway turned the game in the Tigers' favor by sinking two foul shots that broke a 62-62 tie with 2:40 to go after Texas Southern had trailed by 16.

Lawrence Johnson-Danner scored 11 points and Harrison Smith 10 for the Tigers (17-11, 15-2), who have already clinched the Southwestern Athletic Conference regular-season championship.

Blake Sanford scored 22 points on six 3-pointers and four free throws to pace the Jaguars (4-25, 3-14), who lost their 10th in a row. Quinton Doggett had a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Jaguars led 33-24 at intermission and stretched the advantage to 48-32 on Sanford's 3-pointer with 14:46 left. But the Tigers outscored Southern 39-15 the rest of the way.
