Texas A&M Basketball: Aggies Fall To Trojans in Toughest Test Yet
The Texas A&M basketball team faced their toughest test of the season on Friday night and came away just short against the Trojans of Southern California.

Recap
The Aggies jumped out to a 25-15 lead with fierce defense in the interior. Texas A&M shot just 34.5 percent from the field in the first half, but they were able to hold the Trojans to 32.5 percent, thanks in part to four blocks in the first twenty minutes.
It was the three point shooting of the Trojans that jolted them back into the game. USC made five consecutive shots from behind the arc, erasing the Aggie lead before the break. The Trojans would end the first half on a 16-4 run, taking a 31-29 lead into the half.
Early on in the second half it was the Trojan interior defense that was able to keep the Aggies offense at bay. Tyler Davis led the charge, scoring five of the Aggies first six points out of the break. USC’s largest lead of seven was quickly erased on an 8-0 Texas A&M run.
With Tyler Davis in foul trouble for most of the second half it was Tonny Trocha-Morelos and DJ Hogg that took charge of the game. A 12-1 run gave USC a 65-63 lead with 15 seconds remaining, leaving the Aggies with one final possession to tie or take the lead. A DJ Hogg three point shot was off the mark and USC escaped College Station with the victory.
Other Notable Results and A Look Ahead
The maroon and white return to the hardwood on Thanksgiving Day in the DirecTv Wooden Legacy tournament. Their first game will be against Cal State Northridge (1-2). Possible next opponents include: Nebraska, Virgina Tech, Dayton, and UCLA.
Missouri dropped to 1-2, falling to Davidson 70-55. Ole Miss needed overtime to beat Oral Roberts and stay unbeaten (3-0). As of the end of the Aggie game, there were eight unbeaten teams remaining in the SEC.
