Tennessee Tech edges Alabama A&M 79-74

NORMAL, Ala. (AP) Aleska Jugovic scored 22 points as Tennessee Tech edged Alabama A&M 79-74 on Saturday night.

Jugovic was 8 of 14 from the field including four 3-pointers for the Golden Eagles (3-6). Hakeem Rogers added 15 points with the help of four 3-pointers, Mason Ramsey had 13 points, and Courtney Alexander had 10. The team averaged 48 percent shooting from the field, 64.3 percent from the line and had a 24-16 rebounding edge over Alabama A&M.

Rogers dropped all four of his 3-pointers in the first period but Alabama A&M pulled ahead to a 35-33 edge at the break.

Late in the back-and-forth second period, Tennessee Tech held a one-point lead with 46 seconds to play when Kajon Mack sank his only 3-pointer of the game to put the Golden Eagles up by four, 78-74, with 29 seconds remaining.

Rakiya Battle scored 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting for the winless Bulldogs (0-7).
