Wil Peters scored seven unanswered points in overtime to lift Tennessee State over Jacksonville State 69-64 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Tuesday night.

The Tigers (18-10, 11-4) trailed 64-62 before Peters went on his 7-0 run. He hit a 3-pointer, then, after Jacksonville State's Kellen Thornton turned it over, he made two free throws.

The Gamecocks (11-17, 6-8) missed a tying 3-pointer and Peters sealed Tennessee State's eighth straight win with two more foul shots.

Peters finished with 10 points and Robert Covington had 28 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers. Covington's 3-pointer sent it to overtime, 58-58 with 33 seconds left.

Nick Cook and Ronnie Boggs notched double-doubles for the Gamecocks (11-17, 6-8 OVC), the first time two Jacksonville State players recorded double-doubles in the same game since February 2009. Cook had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Boggs 10 points and 10 rebounds.
