TCU pulls away from Prarie View 78-61

TCU is off to its best start in 10 years after beating Prarie View 78-61 Wednesday night.

J.R. Cadot had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Horned Frogs (6-2), who haven't started this strong since opening the 2000-01 season with an 8-2 record. TCU also improved to 5-0 at home with the win, equaling the same mark from the 2000-01 season.

Hank Thorns, Ronnie Moss and Garlon Green added 12 points apiece. Moss also had eight assists.

Brandon Webb led Prarie View (1-8) with 11 points.

TCU shot well from the field, hitting 51.7 percent of its shots, but had a difficult time at the free-throw line, making only 47.4 percent (9 of 19) of its attempts.

The Horned Frogs led 9-1 in the early going and were ahead 42-30 at halftime. The lead grew to as many as 24 points in the second half.
