
Starks with 28 points, lifts Bryant over Wagner 66-65

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (AP) Dyami Starks scored nine of his 28 points in the final 3:56 to help Bryant hold on and beat Wagner 66-65 on Thursday night.
Starks hit a 3 to break a 57-all tie and give the Bulldogs a 60-57 lead. Mike Aaman scored and JoJo Cooper split a pair of free throws to tie it at 60 with 2:39 to play. Starks answered with a jumper and made four free throws to push Bryant's lead to 66-63 with 12 seconds left to seal it.
Dan Garvin had 16 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, and Joe O'Shea grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out five assists for Bryant (13-13, 10-5 Northeast Conference), which remains in second place, three games back of conference leader St. Francis.
Aaman scored 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead Wagner (9-17, 7-8).
