Stanford over Cal State Monterey Bay in exhibition

Jeremy Green scored 26 minutes and Josh Owens added 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead Stanford to an 87-56 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay in an exhibition game Wednesday night.

Reserve Dwight Powell had 10 points and four rebounds, one of eight Stanford players to get at least four rebounds as the Cardinal finished with a 59-32 edge on the glass.

Stanford shot 43.1 percent overall while limiting Cal State Monterey Bay to 30.6 percent. The Cardinal had eight steals and forced the Otters into 15 turnovers. Stanford made 18 more trips to the free throw line, converting 19 of 30, while Cal State Monterey Bay went 10 of 12.

The Cardinal led 42-26 at halftime.

Davion Berry had 20 points for the Otters, who cut the deficit to 63-51 with just over 8 minutes to go, only to see the Cardinal close the game with a 26-5 run.
