St. Peter's grinds out 59-52 OT win over Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) Marvin Dominique had 17 points, Tyler Gaskins added 16 points and Desi Washington 13 and the trio combined for 12 overtime points to lift St. Peter's over Cornell 59-52 on Sunday.

Gaskins opened overtime with a steal and 3-pointer and Dominque followed with a jumper off a Gaskins assist and the Peacocks (6-7) never trailed as the Big Red (6-6) didn't score until 1:24 remained. From there, St. Peter's made 9 of 10 free throws.

Shonn Miller, who had 24 points and 11 rebounds for Cornell, tied the game at 45 with a 3-pointer with 31 seconds left in regulation and Washington missed a trey with 3 seconds left. Miller's basket was the only one in the final 5:57.

Cornell took a 17-15 halftime lead in a defensive first half. The Peacocks hit double figures with 4:12 left and Cornell tied it at 11 on the next possession.
