St. Peter's 74, Canisius 60

Chris Prescott scored 21 points and Lamin Fulton had 20 to lead Saint Peter's to a 74-60 victory over Canisius on Sunday.

The victory was the second in the last 12 games for the Peacocks (4-14, 3-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), and both have come against Canisius. Saint Peter's won 65-61 at home on Jan. 5.

Prescott and Fulton each scored 11 points in a 24-5 run at the start of the second half that gave Saint Peter's a 49-36 lead with 13:11 remaining.

Saint Peter's led 25-19 with 3:57 left in the first half, but the Golden Griffins (4-13, 1-6) closed the half with a 12-0 run for a 31-25 halftime lead. Harold Washington, who led Canisius with 19 points, had six during that streak.

The Peacocks were 10 of 19 on 3-pointers, led by Prescott's 5 of 8, while Canisius shot just 5 of 15 from long range.
