D.J. Kennedy scored 17 points to lead St. John's to its first Big East road win of the season, 84-63 over DePaul on Saturday. Paris Horne had 17 points and Rob Thomas added 14 for the Red Storm, who won for just the second time in eight games. St. John's (14-15, 5-11) had little trouble with DePaul, jumping to a 15-4 lead on Horne's 3-pointer. During the stretch, Sean Evans scored six points for St. John's. DePaul (8-21, 0-16), losers of a school record 16 straight, has two road conference games remaining. Throughout the game, DePaul head coach Jerry Wainwright was peppered by boos. DePaul trailed 38-27 at the half, despite going 8-for-12 from the free line in the half. St. John's was just 1-for-3 from the line but was 5-for-7 from 3-point range.
