Justin Brownlee came off the bench to score 14 points and grab 14 rebounds, and St. John's beat city rival Fordham 73-56 on Sunday in the 81st meeting between the two teams.

Paris Horne added 14 points as the Red Storm (8-1) won their second game in a row after suffering their only loss of the season Dec. 5 against Duke.

The Red Storm never trailed and built their largest lead at 53-32 on a jumper by Horne with 12:21 left to play in the game.

St. John's did not shoot well but converted 21 Fordham turnovers into 19 points and had seven steals. They shot only 36 percent from the field (27-for-75) and missed all 14 of their 3-point attempts.

Freshman Chris Gaston, last week's Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, had a season-high 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Rams (3-7), who have lost four of their past five games. Brenton Butler added 11 points for the Rams.
