St. Francis outlasts Maryland-Eastern Shore 57-53

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) Earl Brown had 19 points with 10 rebounds and Greg Brown converted a late three-point play to lift St. Francis over Maryland-Eastern Shore 57-53 on Saturday.

St. Francis led by as much as 11 in the first half, but the Hawks slowly climbed back. Devon Walker and Isaac Smith III each made 3-pointers to tie it at 51 with 2:21 remaining.

Greg Brown was fouled on his layup and hit the free throw. Mike Myers hit a pair from the line to pull the Hawks within one with 27 seconds left.

Ben Millaud-Meunier split a pair of free throws, but Smith couldn't connect on a 3-pointer in the final seconds. Malik Harmon sank two free throws to seal it.

Earl Brown was 8 of 11 from the field. Millaud-Meunier had 13 points and Greg Brown added nine for St. Francis (2-2).

Myers led the Hawks (1-4) with 10 points.
