St. Francis (NY) eases past LIU Brooklyn 81-64

NEW YORK (AP) Brent Jones scored 15 points and St. Francis (NY) eased past LIU Brooklyn 81-64 on Saturday.

St. Francis (NY) (14-9, 8-2 Northeast) trailed much of the first half, but an 11-3 run in the last 2:45 - including Gunnar Olafsson's 3-pointer with two seconds left - gave the Terriers a 40-34 lead at the break.

Antonio Jenifer's 3-pointer with 9:52 left gave the Terriers a 13-point lead and they were able to keep LIU Brooklyn at arm's length down the stretch.

Jones was 5 of 10 from the floor and had eight assists for St. Francis, which shot 51 percent. Amdy Fall had 14 points with four blocked shots, Tyreek Jewell added 12 and Jalen Cannon scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Gerrell Martin led the Blackbirds (8-13, 4-6 Northeast) with 18 points. Elvar Fridriksson added 12 points and six assists.
