St. Francis (NY) defeats Fairleigh Dickinson 62-51

Brent Jones scored a career-high 15 points and Jalen Cannon had his second straight double-double to help St. Francis (N.Y.) beat Fairleigh Dickinson 62-51 on Saturday.

The Terriers (8-9, 5-1 Northeast Conference) trailed 34-32 at halftime and opened the second half with a 12-3 run. St. Francis went up 44-35 with 13:14 remaining and never trailed again. Travis Nichols and Stefan Perunicic each connected on 3-pointers and Matt Milk added four points during the spurt.

St. Francis held the Knights to 25.9 percent shooting in the second half (7 of 27), including a 0-for-7 performance from 3-point range.

Cannon had 10 points and 12 rebounds and Perunicic finished with 11 points as St. Francis won its fourth straight.

Melquan Bolding led the Knights (1-15, 0-6) with 15 points, scoring 14 in the first half. George Goode and Kinu Rochford chipped in 12 points each for Fairleigh Dickinson.
