St. Francis (BKN) fends off Bryant 79-72 behind Jenifer

NEW YORK (AP) Antonio Jenifer had 24 points on 7-for-11 shooting and 11 rebounds to send St. Francis (BKN) past Bryant 79-72 on Thursday night.

Nisre Zouzoua hit a 3 with 32 seconds to play to cut the Bulldogs' deficit to 74-72 with 32 seconds left. Yunus Hopkinson sank two free throws for St. Francis, but Zouzoua missed his 3 attempt with 20 seconds to go. Jenifer made one of two free throws to seal the win.

Hopkinson scored 17 points for St. Francis (14-16, 10-7 Northeast Conference). Chris Hooper added 15 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Bryant led 29-27 at the half, but the Terriers used a 16-3 run to start the half punctuated by Tyreek Jewell's steal and dunk to make it 43-32 with 16:04 to play.

Zouzoua scored 23 points for Bryant (7-23, 4-13), 15 of which came from beyond the 3-point line. Marcel Pettway added 17 points on 8-for-11 shooting and had eight rebounds.
