Angelo Johnson scored a season-high 21 points and Southern Mississippi defeated Central Florida 68-58 on Saturday night.
Johnson connected on four of his five 3-point attempts, leading the Golden Eagles (16-10, 6-6 Conference USA) back from a 16-point second half deficit.
Trailing 50-42 with 6:30 left, Southern Miss sandwiched a Sai'Quon Stone three-point play between a pair of Johnson's 3-pointers to take their first lead since the 15:07 mark in the first half.
Gary Flowers added 16 points and Josimar Ayarza scored 10 for the Golden Eagles.

Isaac Sosa scored 14 to lead Central Florida (13-13, 5-6).
