South Dakota routs Tabor 122-71

Trevor Gruis had 22 points and 14 rebounds Monday night as South Dakota routed Tabor 122-71.
Charlie Westbrook also had 22 points for the Coyotes (4-7), who scored the first eight points and held a double-digit lead for all but the first 4:19 of the game. Their biggest lead was 55 points.
Gruis was 8 for 10 from the field and South Dakota finished 47 of 73 for 64.4 percent.
Boots Jordan scored 18 points, Louie Krogman 17 and Steve Tecker 15 for the Coyotes. Tecker also had eight rebounds.

Dylan Kaneable had 14 points and eight rebounds for Tabor College of the NAIA. Phillip Jimenez also had 14 points, Ryan Chippeaux scored 12 and Max Frise 10 for the Bluejays (8-4).
Monday's game was the first meeting between the schools.
