South Alabama 70, Louisiana-Lafayette 65

Trey Anderson scored 18 points and grabbed 11 boards as South Alabama rallied to beat Louisiana-Lafayette 70-65 on Thursday night.

After entering halftime trailing 38-30, South Alabama rallied to tie it at 52-all with 9:51 left behind a layup by Anderson. The Jaguars led by three, 64-61, with 2:46 left to play but Javier Carter scored six points in the final 1:42 to help seal the victory.

Carter finished with 14 points and was 6 of 8 from the free-throw line. Rubit Augustine added 10 points for the Jaguars (9-6, 1-3 Sun Belt Conference) who outscored Louisiana-Lafayette 40-27 in the second half.

Louisiana-Lafayette shot 29.2 percent (7 of 24) in the second half after shooting 42.9 percent (12 of 28) in the first.

Josh Brown led Louisiana-Lafayette (8-10, 2-2) with 13 while J.J. Thomas and Kadeem Coleby added 12 apiece for the Ragin' Cajuns'.
