Javier Carter had seven of South Alabama's 11 blocks and the Jaguars defeated Alabama-Birmingham 55-47 on Wednesday night.
The rejection total was a career high for Carter, the fourth-most in a single game in school history, and the most by a South Alabama player since Frank Wilson set the school record of nine on Dec. 20, 1994.
Augustine Rubit had 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks as the Jaguars (3-2) held UAB to 31.6 percent shooting (18 of 57).
South Alabama led 27-19 at halftime, after holding the Blazers to just 6 of 26 from the field in the first half (23.1 percent).
Xavier Roberson added 14 points and Freddie Goldstein 11 for the Jaguars, who snapped a six-game losing streak to UAB (1-5).
Cameron Moore was the only UAB player in double figures with 13 points.
